A clevis hanger is a suspended pipe support that holds piping from overhead structure — concrete slabs, steel beams, or unistrut channel — using a threaded rod attachment. The hanger consists of two clevis halves (upper and lower) that cradle the pipe from below, with a pin or bolt connecting the two halves and a threaded rod hole at the top for connection to the hanging rod.
